What a great conference in Oakland, California with the Children & Nature Network. About 100 professionals gathered for the Green Schoolyards working committee. We worked on target areas, goals and edits to the national agenda. We want to create sites that serve the needs for all students, staff and community members to use to connect with nature. This work goes beyond curriculum needs, such as STEM and NGSS, but addresses the needs of the whole child. This includes the social-emotional benefits from having green campuses and programs that actively engage kids in the outdoors.
